An unpaved road leads to the coastal village of Plaka.

Plaka and the nearest beach are 2.3 km from this property. The elite tourist resort of Elounda is approximately 7 km away. The provincial capital, Agios Nikolaos, is a 20-minute drive from here.

Plaka is an old fishing village that is now a popular tourist destination. Opposite Plaka lies the historic island of Spinalonga with its old Venetian fortress, a UNESCO-protected monument. There are many restaurants and shops in the coastal village. The white pebble beach has crystal clear water and is considered the best in the Elounda area.

Elounda was a small fishing village on Mirabello Bay on the island of Crete. Although fishing still plays an important role in this very picturesque area, tourism has become Elounda's main industry. The village belongs to the municipality of Agios Nikolaos. The village is very popular with European tourists and has numerous hotels, including several 5-star hotels. Elounda is also the closest major town to the former leper colony of Spinalonga. The town is only a 10-minute drive from Agios Nikolaos and the village of Plaka (Lasithi). Agios Nikolaos is the capital of the Lasithi district and is located on Mirabello Bay in the north-east of Crete, only 45 minutes from Heraklion International Airport.
