Geographically, the town is well protected from strong winds, so you can enjoy water sports and swimming here almost all year round.

Although Agios Nikolaos has less than 20,000 inhabitants, it has several banks, supermarkets, shops of all kinds, doctors, a modern hospital with high standards, a public swimming pool and tennis courts, a marina, a harbour, a cinema, a theatre, gyms, a 9-hole golf course, schools from nursery to 6-form secondary school and, in general, all the amenities you would expect in a modern European town.

The microclimate is one of the best in Greece, with moderate temperatures rarely rising above 30 degrees in summer and rarely falling below 15 degrees in winter. This wonderful dry climate, combined with the natural beauty of the area, has attracted most of Greece's first-class hotels to operate here.

Sissi is a small fishing village on the Greek island of Crete. With its well-kept palm grove, situated in the middle of a hilly coastal plain, it is a place to relax in peace. Surrounded by countless olive trees, the village is particularly suitable for a quiet holiday. Today, the village is known for its very nice fish taverns and the luxury hotels in the area.
