Originally built under the name "Villa Fattoria Filicchi", it belonged to the wealthy Conti family. During the time of Cesira Filicchi Conti, a tower was added, which still characterises the property today. The spacious, sheltered park of the villa was designed by the renowned architect Arturo Conti, who also designed the Archaeological Museum of Athens, among other things. The Libyan cedars, some of which are up to 300 years old, are particularly impressive. She named the property "Villa Trovarsi", inspired by a play Pirandello had written for her.
