Agios Onoufrios is a small coastal village on Cape Akrotiri, located 8 km north of Chania and close to the village of Kounoupidiana. The village is actually a suburb of Chania, as it is very close to the city. It is named after the small chapel next to the beach, which is dedicated to Saint Onoufrios and celebrated on 12 June.

Agios Onoufrios beach is quiet and tucked away in a well-protected bay. It is sandy and not very well organised. It is mainly frequented by residents from the wider area. The picturesque landscape, traditional tavernas and calm sea are good reasons to visit Agios Onoufrios. The only unpleasant sounds in the peaceful landscape are the fuel tanks located northwest of the beach.
